Vehicle road tax: print, pay, or pay by the month
Road tax (τέλη κυκλοφορίας) for the following year is due by 31 December. No notice is posted to you. You issue it yourself from the AADE myCAR service.
Step by step
- Open myCAR — myaade.gov.gr → «Εφαρμογές» → «Φορολογικές Υπηρεσίες» → «Οχήματα» → «myCAR».
- Without Taxisnet credentials — You can also use «Τέλη Κυκλοφορίας χωρίς TAXISnet» with your tax number (ΑΦΜ) and licence plate.
- Choose the year — The year you are paying road tax for.
- Print the notice — It includes the debt ID (RF).
- Pay — e-banking, ATM, bank branch or card. With a credit card you can also pay in interest-free instalments.
Note: if the vehicle will not be used, declare it off the road (ακινησία) in myCAR before the payment deadline.
Paying by the month: since 1 April 2026 you can use myCAR to put the vehicle back on the road for the months you choose and pay only that share of the annual tax. Any part of a month counts as a full month, and the vehicle returns to off-road status automatically when the period ends.
